At The Manor - Batemans Bay Retirement Village, the assorted configurations of studio and one-bedroom Apartments are thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of the frail aged. Each Apartment has a comfortable living and bedroom area with a kitchenette and ensuite. Each Apartment has direct access through glazed patio doors to a terrace.

All residents of the Village may relax in any of the four lounge areas specially created to encourage social activities. Apartment residents have the advantage that they do not need to step outside in order to reach any of the four lounge areas at The Manor - an excellent environment for a gentle walk throughout all seasons.

The Village chef prepares meals freshly each day which are served in the dining room. Residents of assisted living Apartments have all meals provided, and Villa residents may join the Apartment residents for meals in the dining room if they wish.

All accommodation has 24 hour medical alert call facilities. A member of our friendly care staff is always on site and able to provide 24/7 response to emergency calls. There are registered nurses on staff.

An Entry Contribution ranging from $75,000 to $180,000 is payable to secure an assisted living Apartment at The Manor. This is an interest free loan from the Resident to The Manor which is returned to the resident on departure. There is a deferred management levy of 4.5% of the Entry Contribution per annum, with a minimum of one year and a maximum levy period capped at six years.

A weekly fee (recurrent charge) is payable to cover:

  • provision of all meals,
  • weekly laundering of bed linen and towels,
  • weekly general cleaning of the Apartment,
  • the day to day management and operation of the Village
  • general residential maintenance and repairs to common areas,
  • landscape and grounds care,
  • on-site 24 hour emergency call service,
  • assistance with personal care if required,
  • access to a range of community activities and shared facilities,
  • water, electricity and gas charges,
  • rates and charges associated with the property,
  • annual auditing of the accounts of the village, and
  • insurance on the building and Public Liabilities Insurance.
